Versioning Program
The Versioning Program is designed to expand the accessibility of CMF-funded projects to Canadians by adding voice-overs and/or subtitles to projects. Versioning also seeks to increase the revenues earned by Canadian projects through national and international sales. Projects receive funding on a first-come, first-served basis.
The CMF contributed $1.45 million to 15 projects. More than 90% of funding was provided to projects that were initially produced in the English language, and more than 75% of funding was provided to Children’s & Youth projects.
